• Medium Porosity: This is the sweet spot. Your hair absorbs moisture well and retains it. You have some flexibility here, but sticking to quality, sulfate-free products is still key.
• High Porosity: If the strand sinks immediately, your cuticles are likely damaged or raised from heat styling and chemical processing. Your hair absorbs moisture fast but loses it just as quickly. You need richer, deep-conditioning masks and protein treatments to seal the gaps.
