About Additional Shots
You will notice that many of these shots are portraits taken away from the wedding chaos. We love using these quiet windows of time to experiment with light and framing, such as the staircase poses or the diptychs that show different sides of a look. It is how we balance the loud, traditional ceremony work with something more personal and calm.
While the main ceremonies give us the grand scale of the event, these additional shots are where we really show our artistic side. We look for angles that feel editorial, whether it is capturing the intricate details of a bridal saree or the sharp styling of a groom's reception suit. We believe in creating a bandhavya (bond) with you, which makes it much easier to guide you into natural poses. When you are comfortable with us, the camera just disappears. We use this time to play with creative lighting and composition, moving away from standard documentation to create portraits that look like they belong in a fashion magazine. We often use our Sony and Canon gear to capture these in low light or at sunset to get those rich, moody tones that bring out the best in your outfits. If you have a specific venue in mind, we can plan these sessions around the best spots for natural light, ensuring you get a mix of traditional family photos and modern, artistic portraits that you will actually want to frame.
