Structural Fit Adjustments
- Original Edge Hemming: Shortening length while re-attaching the original faded hem (Euro Hem) so the jeans do not look altered.
- Waist Reduction: Taking in the waist up to 3 inches by adjusting the rear waistband and seat seam to prevent back gaping.
- Tapering: Narrowing leg width from thigh to ankle (e.g. Bootcut to Skinny) while maintaining side seam structure.
- Crotch Reinforcement: Repairing inner thigh blowouts using darning (Rafoo) or matching denim patches to extend garment life.
Hardware & Finishing
- Thread Matching: Use of heavy-duty polyester core thread (orange/gold/yellow) to match the original brand aesthetic.
- Zipper & Button Replacement: Swapping faulty hardware with durable YKK metal zippers (brass/aluminum) and replacing rivets or shank buttons.
- Loop Adjustment: Re-positioning belt loops to align with new waist measurements.

I’ve spent 15 years being the go-to ‘personal darzi’ (tailor) online for anyone who loves their jeans but hates how they fit off the rack. I get it – waists too loose, length too long, some areas too tight. Been there, fixed that.

Hello Mumbai! You know how this city just runs - no time for tailor shop visits, right? That’s why Cityspy4u Tailor happened. I wanted something quick, simple, just like our city. But it’s not only about fixing clothes. I hated seeing old jeans wasted, so we started upcycling - making cool bags out of them, giving them a new life. Sewing is our passion, not just words.
