About Diploma in Narrative Therapy & Community Work
This diploma is a rigorous, year-long journey designed for practitioners who want to move beyond basic theory. You will move through seven teaching blocks—a blend of in-person sessions in New Delhi and live online learning—with direct supervision from international faculty at the Dulwich Centre. We prioritize real-world application, ensuring you can integrate narrative ideas into your current clinical or community work immediately.
Narrative Therapy operates on a simple but profound belief: the person is not the problem, the problem is the problem. Our diploma program dives deep into this philosophy, moving away from pathologizing diagnoses to focus on externalization, re-authoring conversations, and double listening.
What to expect from the program
- Hybrid Learning: We balance accessibility with the depth of in-person connection. You will participate in seven teaching blocks over the year, alternating between face-to-face sessions in New Delhi and live online sessions.
- Clinical Supervision: Theory alone is not enough. The program includes six supervised sessions where you bring actual case work to discuss with senior faculty. This ensures you are not just learning concepts but applying them to real, complex human experiences.
- Community of Practice: Upon completion, you join our Narrative Therapy Collective. You are not just gaining a certificate; you are gaining a lifelong network of peers and mentors dedicated to decolonizing mental health practice.
