Expert-Led Psychotherapy Webinars & Clinical Supervision Training
Bridge the gap between clinical theory and real-world practice with our values-based video learning series for mental health professionals.
We are excited to introduce "The Being and The Doing," a video-based learning series to help mental health professionals bridge skills and values in practice. This series is presented in partnership with the India Mental Health Alliance.
This workshop series offers an opportunity to witness distinguished experts in action. The emphasis is on skill-building rooted in values like authenticity, collaboration, and attunement, with reflective discussions facilitated by IMHA's Head of Programmes.

About Expert-Led Webinars & Learning Series
These sessions move far beyond dry lectures. By watching real-world role-plays and analyzing clinical dilemmas with senior practitioners like Dr. Kavita Arora and Dr. Amit Sen, you gain immediate, practical tools to apply in your own therapy rooms tomorrow.
Learning Through Observation
Traditional training often leaves a gap between theoretical knowledge and the messy, beautiful reality of the consultation room. Our 'The Being and The Doing' series, conducted in partnership with the India Mental Health Alliance (IMHA), is designed to bridge that distance. We focus on demonstrating how psychotherapy looks when it is rooted in values like authenticity, humility, and collaboration.
Why This Format Works
Instead of reading about a technique, you watch it unfold. Each session features expert practitioners engaging in role-plays that mirror the complex challenges you face in your daily work:
- Psychotherapy in Action: See how to navigate diagnostic conversations with families, handle contentious ADHD counseling sessions, or use a narrative lens to respond to trauma.
- Supervision in Action: Learn to center the 'self of the therapist,' manage professional self-doubt, and explore cases through a relational, psychodynamic lens.
Who Should Attend?
Whether you are a psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker, counselor, or a trainee, these sessions offer a safe space to reflect on your practice. We avoid the 'expert-does-everything' model. Instead, we encourage critical reflection on the nuances of the therapeutic relationship, helping you build spaces where your clients feel seen, heard, and empowered.
Practical Details
These sessions are held virtually via Zoom, making them accessible regardless of your location. We prioritize interactive sharing, so each 2-hour session includes time for Q&A and group reflection. By joining this series, you gain access to a community of like-minded practitioners who are equally committed to ethical, culturally aligned mental health work.
Children First
At Children First, we’re dedicated to building communities of care. This learning series is how we pass that baton forward, helping you cultivate the same values of empathy and curiosity in your own professional practice.
