For daytime ceremonies, I do not just stand on stage. I actively referee group games like Tug-of-War, Giant Jenga, and interactive ice-breakers that get guests from both families mingling. It turns a standard ritual into an engaging event where everyone, from your elders to your friends, feels part of the celebration.
Daytime events are often overlooked, but they are the perfect setting to break the ice before the main Sangeet. I focus on creating a relaxed atmosphere where the vibe is high-energy but easy-going. My 3-hour Haldi and Mehendi package is designed specifically for this flow.
Instead of just making announcements, I use the roaming mic to interview guests, hype up the Dhol, and coordinate with the DJ to keep the music syncing with your rituals. If you have a specific theme, I coordinate my outfits to match your decor, whether it is bright yellows for Haldi or floral prints for Mehendi.
I also bridge the language gap. Whether it is an elderly relative who only speaks Kannada or a cousin from out of town who knows only English, I switch seamlessly between languages to ensure everyone is in on the joke.
