We started with a 150 sq. ft. room in Bombay and a lot of skepticism. This is how we turned a belief in honest work into a reality, one prototype at a time.

I walk you through how an idea becomes a finished product at Casa Walls. The process involves sketching, team brainstorming, creating miniature prototypes, and extensive material sampling, all driven by the skill of our designers and craftsmen.
This video shows the journey of our abstract mirror, from a creative concept and material selection to the final handcrafted piece. We combine vibrant red velvet, intricate gold beading, and sculptural forms to create a functional mirror that is also a piece of art.

About Our Story & Process
We don’t just take orders; we build with you. Before any piece hits your space, we sketch, debate, and create physical prototypes to test the structure. Expect us to ask difficult questions or push back if a material choice doesn't serve the durability or finish you need—that is simply our commitment to long-lasting furniture.
When we started Casa Walls in 2017, the market told us we were making a mistake. They said India was not ready for custom, high-detail work. We decided to ignore the doubt and focus on the craft instead. That initial 150 sq. ft. workshop taught us that there is no shortcut to quality.
The Process: No Catalogs, Just Creation
We do not operate with standard catalogs. Every piece you see is a result of a conversation. Whether it is an architectural dining table or a custom-contoured sofa, the journey follows the same path:
- The Idea: We start with your vision, not ours.
- The Sketch & Debate: We argue, sketch, and brainstorm to find a design that works aesthetically and structurally.
- Prototyping: We build physical versions. We test materials—velvets, leathers, reclaimed wood, and metals—to see how they interact.
- Execution: Our team in Bombay brings the piece to life using traditional hand-work methods mixed with modern framing techniques.
Why We Build This Way
We use high-density MDF and marine ply to ensure structural integrity for our complex shapes. Our upholstery isn't just about the fabric; it's about the density of the foam and the precision of the stitching. We want your furniture to be an extension of your space, not just a filler.
If you have a design that requires non-standard geometry or mixed media like marble and brass, we have the experience to figure out how to make it stand up. Everything we do is designed and made in Bombay, ensuring we keep a close eye on the finish from the first sketch to the final polish.
