Urban & Lifestyle Portraits: Authentic Sessions in Delhi
Great photos happen where you feel most like yourself, whether it's a quiet park or a bustling city street. I find the light and the story, you just show up as you are.
Using a car as a prop for a cinematic, golden-hour portrait. This style is perfect for capturing a candid, story-driven moment that feels like a still from a movie.
A portrait reel shot at Lodhi Garden in Delhi, showing how we can use architectural elements to create elegant and dynamic images. This is a great option for an ethnic wear or pre-wedding shoot.
This behind the scenes clip shows how I use simple, natural light during golden hour in a local park. Even a familiar setting can be transformed into a beautiful backdrop for a portrait.
A soft, moody portrait taken in a field, giving it a vintage and timeless feel. This kind of lifestyle photography is about capturing a feeling and a quiet moment in nature.
About Urban & Lifestyle Portraits
I don't use heavy studio setups or artificial lights. Instead, I work with available natural light, using the urban landscape—like the texture of an old gate or the glow through a car window—to frame you. We focus on capturing candid movement rather than rigid poses, so you can just be yourself.
Whether you want a casual session in a local park or a more stylized look using city architecture, my focus remains on the mood. I shoot with a Nikon Z6ii and a 35mm lens, which keeps the process lightweight and allows me to move quickly. We don't spend hours setting up rigs. We find the light, we find the angle, and we capture the moment.
I often scout urban spots that others might overlook. A simple iron gate, a concrete parking structure, or the fading light at places like Lodhi Garden can offer more texture and character than a traditional studio backdrop. My sessions are about movement. If you feel awkward posing, that is perfect. I prefer capturing you while you are walking, laughing, or just sitting on a bench.
What to expect
- Timing: We plan our sessions around the Golden Hour. The light is softer, and the colors are deeper.
- Flexibility: If it rains or the weather changes, we adapt. Sometimes those are the best shots.
- Deliverables: You receive high-resolution, professionally color-graded JPEGs with a moody, cinematic finish.
This isn't about being a model. It is about documenting your real self in an environment that feels familiar and grounded.
