These staircases create a modern, floating effect with a single steel beam for support. We design them to maximize light and space, using solid oak treads and toughened glass balustrades for a clean, open feel.

About Centre-Spine Staircases

When you choose a centre-spine design, the structural strength comes from a heavy-duty steel beam tucked directly beneath the treads, which eliminates any bounce or movement. We use 60mm to 80mm thick solid oak or ash for the steps, ensuring they feel substantial underfoot while keeping the overall look light and airy.

Featured in Architecture+Design magazine, this view of the master bedroom highlights the channel tufted headboard in a calming blue. The design intentionally draws the eye towards the balcony and the green canopy beyond, emphasizing the indoor outdoor connection.

This vertical garden is made from a wooden slat structure with integrated planter boxes. It's a modular and stylish way to display a variety of plants at different heights, creating a living wall of art.7
To create a dramatic effect at night, I designed this wooden pallet-style wall planter with hidden LED backlighting. The warm glow highlights the plants and turns the wall into a stunning feature after dark.
This wooden structure acts as both a room partition and a vertical garden. The open slats maintain a sense of space, while the built-in shelves are perfect for displaying a collection of small potted plants.
A simple wooden trellis can completely transform a plain pillar or wall. Here, I've used an expandable trellis intertwined with faux ivy and fairy lights to create a charming and whimsical green feature.
