The finished drinks cabinet installed in the client's home. The design includes an upper cabinet for glassware and cookbooks, a walnut-framed mirror, and a lower unit with custom drawers and storage.
The five wine storage drawers feature solid oak fronts and a surprise pop of colour with a bright orange lining. This detail was a specific client request to add a unique, personal element to the piece.
The pull-out spirits drawer is built on heavy-duty runners to handle the weight of bottles. This custom feature makes organizing and accessing your collection simple and efficient.
The overhead unit features a lift-up door with soft-close hinges, revealing ample storage for various types of glassware. The internal shelving is made from light-coloured birch plywood, which contrasts nicely with the dark walnut exterior.
In addition to glassware, the upper cabinet was designed to hold the client's collection of cookbooks. This shows how I tailor each piece of fitted furniture to the owner's specific lifestyle and needs.

Notice the pull-out spirit drawer on heavy-duty runners. I do not use fixed sizes for these units because every collection is different. I build the core structure from strong birch plywood, then finish the visible surfaces in solid walnut or oak to match your home's existing light and flooring.
Designing a fitted drinks cabinet is about integration. It is not just about storage, but how the unit interacts with your wall and your lighting. I start by measuring your specific alcove to ensure a flush fit, eliminating the gaps you often find with off-the-shelf furniture. The carcass is built from high-grade birch plywood for structural stability, while the elements you touch, like the doors and drawer fronts, are solid walnut or oak. I use a durable two-pack lacquer finish, which protects the wood against inevitable spills and daily wear. Each unit includes functional details like recessed LED strip lighting and custom-fitted mirror back-panels to open up the room.
