Handcrafted Woodworking and Architectural Decor

The work shown here represents the broader side of my workshop practice. While much of my time is spent on cabinetry, I frequently take on projects that require a different set of engineering and design skills. Designing a staircase is an exercise in both weight management and aesthetics. Using solid oak treads paired with a steel spine provides that clean, modern look without compromising on strength. It has to be precise.

My approach to decor—items like clocks, mirrors, or small tables—comes from the same place. I use the offcuts and premium timber stocks left over from larger projects, ensuring that no material goes to waste. If you see something at a craft fair display, it was likely built to test a new finish or a joinery technique that eventually makes its way into my larger fitted furniture. If you are looking for an architectural element or a specific timber piece that you cannot find in a standard furniture store, that is the kind of problem I enjoy solving.
