My Wedding Storytelling Philosophy
I do not just take pictures. I capture the raw, unscripted moments that make your wedding yours. Here is how I see the magic in your day.
A reminder to myself and to you: I picked up a camera to tell stories, to hold love in frames, and to catch laughter before it slips away. This is my promise.
Curiosity is your ticket in. This image of a woman surrounded by old photographs represents my belief that every great story begins with a question, not an answer.
A visual representation of my philosophy, "The Art of Telling Stories." This video combines artistic shots to convey the mood and emotion I strive for in my work.
Every story needs a heartbeat. This intimate black and white photo illustrates my focus on finding the core emotion that drives your narrative.
Stories are magic. This video, set against a majestic mountain landscape, speaks to my belief that stories make strangers feel like friends and old moments feel new.
A portrait of me, Simran. The word "art" on my shirt is a simple declaration of my passion and my path as a creative entrepreneur.
A moody black and white portrait of me, sitting in a corner with a single beam of light. It reflects the contemplative and artistic side of my work.
About My Storytelling Philosophy
When I photograph a wedding, I am not looking for the perfect angle or the right light. I am looking for the blink-and-you-miss-it moment—the grandmother tearing up during a ritual or a spontaneous laugh during the Sangeet. I work with a small, unobtrusive team to ensure we blend in as guests, not observers. My goal is to capture the chaos and calm of your day exactly as it happens, without ever asking you to pose or look at the lens.
Why Documentary Photography?
Modern weddings are often over-produced, but the most meaningful memories aren't staged. I lean into a documentary approach, prioritizing the flow of real events over elaborate setups. Whether I am shooting in a heritage venue in Rajasthan or a quiet home ceremony in Delhi, my focus remains on the interplay between tradition and intimacy.
My Process
My process starts with a simple conversation. I want to know who is coming, what makes you laugh, and what part of the ceremony matters most to your family. By understanding the people involved, I can anticipate emotions before they unfold.
- Pre-Wedding: We discuss mood boards and locations, but I encourage you to choose settings that reflect your personality rather than just pretty backdrops.
- On the Day: I use a minimal gear setup to keep movement fluid. My team includes specialized candid shooters and cinematographers who follow the same unscripted philosophy.
- Post-Production: My editing style is grounded in natural tones. I avoid heavy filters, preferring to keep the warmth and color of the day exactly as it felt.
This is not just about delivering files; it is about providing a visual narrative of the day you actually lived.
