Many people think mehandi is just for the bride, but the fun really starts when the whole family joins in. I focus on quick, clean Arabic designs and intricate yet subtle patterns for grooms that do not take hours but look beautiful in photos.
Mehandi is about more than just the bridal ceremony. It is a shared experience. When I apply mehandi for the groom or the wedding guests, I prioritize designs that are elegant, fast to apply, and comfortable to wear during long wedding functions.
For the Groom
It is becoming popular for grooms to get a small piece of art too. I typically do a small portrait, the couple's initials, or a traditional 'Om' or Ganesha motif. It is subtle and traditional, adding a nice touch without being overwhelming.
For Guests and Bridesmaids
For family and friends, I recommend Arabic patterns or floral vines. These are perfect because they look stunning but are much quicker to apply. This means your guests can spend less time sitting in a chair and more time enjoying the wedding rituals. I use my own organic henna mix with essential oils, so it leaves a rich, dark stain that lasts through the celebrations.
