Actor Stunt Training and Cinematic Fight Choreography
We help actors build the physical habits and safety awareness needed to perform their own stunts convincingly on screen.
A complete look into our actor training process with Fahadh Faasil for the film 'Avesham'. We cover everything from basic mobility and boxing pad work to advanced wire-work and stunt falls, ensuring the actor is confident and prepared for the camera.
Training the legendary Duniya Vijay for 'Bheema' involved intense sessions at Chaos Faktory. This shows our hands-on approach, using harnesses and pads to rehearse complex aerial kicks and fight choreography before ever stepping on set.
It was a pleasure training Sai Dharam Tej for a few days for his upcoming film. We focused on specific movement patterns and fight techniques to match the action sequences planned by the director.
Behind the scenes with Duniya Vijay and our CF Action Design team. This is where the magic begins, breaking down fight choreography, practicing reactions, and ensuring every movement is sharp, safe, and serves the story.
Post-practice coffee break with Duniya Vijay. The training process is intense, but it's also about building trust and rapport with the actors we work with, making the collaboration on set much smoother.
With Fahadh Faasil at Chaos Faktory during his initial fight training sessions for 'Avesham'. It's always an honor to work with such a dedicated and talented actor.
The brothers of CF Action Design with Fahadh Faasil. My brother Chethan handles on-set action direction while I focus on preparing the actors at our facility, creating a seamless workflow from training to final shot.
A photo with Fahadh Faasil after a successful training block. Seeing an actor master a new skill and build the confidence to perform their own stunts is the most rewarding part of my job.
Happy to be working with Fahadh Faasil again on his next project. My brother, Action Director Chethan D'souza, has already directed a massive climax sequence with him, and our team is excited for what's next.
A proud moment with actor Fahadh Faasil and my brother Chethan at our gym. This picture represents the core of our service: a partnership between the actor and our team to create unforgettable action.
About From Rehearsal to Reel: Actor Stunt Training
Before you see the punches land on camera, there is a long process of getting comfortable with the gear. We spend hours at our gym on wire basics, aerial rotations, and fall safety techniques known as Ukemi. Our goal is to make these movements feel like a natural extension of your character, so when you are on set, your instincts take over instead of your fear.
Our Approach to Action
We do not believe in flashy moves for the sake of it. Screen action should serve the story. Whether you are prepping for a drama, a comedy, or a high-octane thriller, we break the script down to its physical core.
The Process:
- Script Breakdown: We sit down to assess exactly what the character needs. Does the scene require gritty, raw fighting or stylized, acrobatic combat? We define the physical language of the role first.
- Foundation First: You cannot perform a wire sequence if you do not have the core strength and balance to control your body in the air. We start with conditioning, flexibility, and basic coordination.
- Safe Execution: Safety is non-negotiable. Our facility in HSR Layout is kitted out with crash pads, foam pits, and harnesses. This is a controlled space where you can mess up, learn, and try again without the risk of real-world injury.
The CF Action Design Difference
I handle the actor training, while my brother Chethan works as the Action Director on set. This tag-team approach ensures that what we teach in the gym translates perfectly to the camera. We have worked on over 70 films in seven languages, and we bring that experience to every session. We teach you how to react, how to handle weight distribution during combat, and how to make the camera see exactly what the director intended.
Delson Joy D'Souza
My brother Chethan and I founded CF Action Design to make screen action feel real and grounded. We work directly with actors to transform scripts into believable physical movements, ensuring every stunt is safe and sharp.
