Behind the camera, action is about storytelling through movement. Here is how we break down the stunts and philosophies that bring film sequences to life.

In this clip from my interview on 'Just Curious', I explain that calisthenics is for everyone. It's about using your own bodyweight to build strength, which is the most accessible and functional foundation for any kind of action training.

What is parkour? I break it down in this podcast clip, explaining that it's not just about jumping between buildings as seen in movies. It's the art of moving efficiently, a skill we teach from the ground up at Chaos Faktory.

We don't just teach, we create. This is a small action scene we choreographed and filmed to test new concepts. It's a practical way for us to refine our skills in fight choreography, cinematography, and editing.

About Action Philosophy & Media Features

My media appearances often surprise people—they expect a list of flashy, impossible jumps. Instead, I talk about efficiency and safety. Whether I'm on a podcast or prepping an actor for a film set at Chaos Faktory, the philosophy is identical: movement must serve the story, not the ego. We don't just teach tricks; we teach actors how to move with intent so that every frame feels real.

Our Approach to Action

At CF Action Design, we believe that effective action for film isn't about the biggest jump; it is about the most believable one. My brother Chethan and I have worked on over 70 films, and in every single project, we strip back the unnecessary to focus on physical storytelling. Whether we are training a lead actor from scratch or designing a complex fight sequence for a director, the process remains rooted in the same principles I discuss in my interviews: discipline, safety, and a deep understanding of human mechanics.

The Science Behind the Stunts

When people watch clips of our work, they often ask about the 'how.' How do we get an actor comfortable with wire-work or cinematic combat in a short time? It starts with the basics. We don't just throw people into stunts. We build a foundation of calisthenics and parkour awareness at our HSR Layout studio. This allows us to:

  • Assess physical potential: Every actor has different limits. We break down the script to see what they can handle safely.
  • Implement progression: We use mats, pads, and harnesses to create a controlled environment where failure is part of the learning process.
  • Bridge the gap: We turn fitness into performance, ensuring the choreography looks aggressive on screen but is executed with surgical precision.

Training Philosophy

My mantra, Yaru madabahudu (Anyone can do it), applies as much to film sets as it does to my private coaching clients. If an actor is willing to put in the hours, we can get them to perform moves they never thought possible. We focus on reaction timing, weapon handling, and fall safety techniques—skills that keep the actor safe and make the final footage look authentic. If you are a director or producer looking for choreography that prioritizes both narrative impact and performer safety, let's talk about your script's specific physical requirements.

My name is Delson, and for me, film action isn't just about looking cool—it’s about believable movement that tells a story. Along with my brother Chethan and our team at CF Action Design, I spend my days training actors to move with confidence and choreographing sequences that hit hard but stay safe.
