About From Street to Safety: Our Rescue Stories
A rescue is never just a quick win. When you see these photos, remember that behind every 'before' shot is a moment of chaos, and behind the 'after' is weeks of patience in a foster home. We don't have cages, so our rescues live in real homes while they heal. It is tough work, but that is exactly why we do it.
The Reality of Rescue
Rescue work is messy. It involves midnight calls about kittens in drains, traffic stops, and long nights monitoring vitals. We are not a shelter with cages; we are a city-wide network. When we get a call about an injured cat, that animal goes straight into one of our community foster homes in Bangalore. Whether it is Bella, the kitten stuck in a tree, or Nandi, who needed special care for his mobility, these cats do not just 'get saved'. They learn to trust again.
How It Works
When you see a rescue story here, it is usually the result of a coordinated effort.
- Ground Response: For urgent situations like a kitten trapped in a deep drain in Indiranagar, we mobilize our volunteers and partners like the Samarpan Foundation.
- Foster Care: This is the bridge between the street and a forever home. A foster paw-rent provides the environment for trauma recovery that a kennel never could.
- Vet Support: Every cat gets the medical attention they need, from X-rays to spaying or neutering, before they are ready for adoption.
