How We Do Cat Adoption Differently
I run Cat Squad as a 'cloud shelter' - so there’s no cages, only foster homes across Bangalore. Every cat lives with volunteers who treat them like family. I believe in “Adopt, Don’t Shop.” If you’re looking to adopt an Indian rescue cat and want something beyond the usual shelter vibe, this is it.
Cats & Kittens We Rescue
- All types - ginger, tabby, tortie, tuxedo, black and white, even those with dual-colored eyes.
- All ages - tiny kittens (from 45 days old) to older, chill cats.
- Special needs cats for adoption - 3-legged, recovered from injuries, but super loving.
- Every cat is vet-checked, dewormed, litter-trained. Adults are always spayed/neutered, kittens start vaccinations.
Why Adopt Two?
If you’re into kittens, I’ll always suggest bonded kitten pairs. Two kittens keep each other busy, avoid separation anxiety, and you save double the lives.
What’s Needed From You
- Cat-proofing home for adoption is non-negotiable - mesh/nets on all windows, balconies, and you’ll need to show proof.
- Cats must stay strictly indoors.
- Your whole family and housemates should be cool with it.
- All vaccines and sterilization (by 6 months) is a must.
- No veg diets – cats need meat.

Hey, we’re Cat Squad, but most folks call us BCS. Started out ten years ago, just a bunch of us who couldn’t walk past a hungry street cat. We’re not a shelter with cages – we’re a wild mix of feeders, rescuers, and cat lovers, all running on chai and WhatsApp. Our cats crash at foster homes, not kennels. Some days are rough, like when we found Java barely hanging on, but seeing a floofy Indian cat finally snoozing in their new home? That’s why we keep at it. All heart, all hustle.
