Custom Birthday Return Favor Hampers in Delhi NCR
From a surprise order of 80 hampers to the final sticker placement, here is the behind-the-scenes of how we pulled off this first birthday milestone from my kitchen in Rohini.
Sometimes, the best opportunities come when you least expect them. This is the story of how a regular client call turned into my biggest order yet: 80 custom hampers for a baby's first birthday.
Day 1 of making 80 hampers. The day started at 7 AM with making almost 1500 chocolates. Thankfully, my mom, sister, and nephews helped with the tedious task of wrapping each one individually.
Day 2 of the 80-hamper challenge. We had a last-minute flavor change request from the client, which we managed after a quick sample tasting. The day was spent baking endless batches of brownies and cookies.
Days 3 and 4 were all about production. We baked sponges for the 5kg cake, packed cookies and brownies, and dedicated an entire day to baking 20 kgs of our new vanilla choco-chunk teacake.
The final day of delivery. It started with pasting hundreds of stickers and ended with my family helping me assemble all 80 hampers. Seeing them all lined up, looking so beautiful, made it all worth it.

One of the items in the hamper: a jar of our freshly baked Oats & Butterscotch cookies, complete with a custom "Saisha's 1st Birthday" unicorn-themed lid sticker.
Another treat from the hamper: a jar of our classic Almond Cookies. We made sure every item, big or small, was perfectly coordinated with the party's theme.
Our Vanilla Choco-Chunky Teacake, specially packaged for the birthday return favors. The custom unicorn sticker adds a touch of magic to this delicious, eggless cake.
A single-serving brownie box, also part of the 80-hamper order. Even the smallest items received special packaging to create a cohesive and memorable gift.
About The '80 Birthday Hampers' Project
Managing a bulk order of 80 hampers is 30% baking and 70% logistics. When this client asked for a last-minute flavor change, we didn't panic or say no; we did a quick sample tasting to ensure the quality held up. Whether it is packing individual gold-foiled chocolates or getting the sticker placement exactly right, we treat every single box with the same care as if it were for our own family.
When I got the call for 80 return-favor hampers, I admit I was nervous. This was significantly larger than any order I had managed alone. But my bakery in Shalimar Bagh is built on relationships—what we call rishtey—so I knew we could figure it out.
The Process Behind the Bulk
Efficiency is the only way to manage a project this size without losing the quality. For this 1st birthday project, we broke it down into four days.
- Day 1: Production. We spent the day making 1,500 chocolates. My mom, sister, and nephews stepped in to help with the tedious wrapping process.
- Day 2: Customization. We pivoted based on a client's request for a different teacake flavor. This is why I always keep sample batches ready—it’s about getting it right, not just getting it done.
- Day 3: Assembly. We baked 20kgs of our Vanilla Choco-Chunky Teacake and prepped the cookie jars.
- Day 4: Final Packaging. We focused on the presentation. From the pink bows to the custom 'Saisha’s 1st Birthday' stickers, the visual consistency is what makes a return favor feel premium.
Why it Matters
People often ask if I get stressed with these numbers. Honestly, tension ki toh baat hi matt kro, but when you see 80 hampers lined up, all looking perfect and ready to be delivered, it’s the best feeling in the world.
