About Singles Showdowns
We've got a high-ceiling warehouse setup that's perfect for tracking those high clears and deep drop shots. Since our courts use artificial turf, the grip is different from wooden floors, so you'll want to get a few rallies in to adjust your footwork before the real intensity starts. No pressure, just test the surface and find your rhythm.
Why Singles is the Real Test
Doubles is fun, but singles? That's where you find out exactly how much stamina you've got in the tank. It’s just you, the court, and the shuttle. In our Sion facility, we see players pushing their limits daily.
Playing on Turf
Our courts use artificial turf, which changes the game slightly compared to traditional wooden courts.
- The Grip: You'll need non-marking shoes, but expect a slightly different level of traction.
- The Pace: The turf is forgiving on the joints, but the shuttle speed remains fast. It’s perfect for practicing that jump smash without worrying about knee fatigue the next day.
- Lighting: We've set up industrial-grade lighting so you don't lose the shuttle against the white background.
Pro-Tips for Your Match
- Warm-up is Non-Negotiable: Because singles requires constant court coverage, give yourself 10 minutes of shadow practice before you start.
- Master the Angles: With our specific court dimensions, focus on using the corners. It’s the easiest way to tire out your opponent.
