About Our Family Story: Portraits with Parents & Siblings
I don't believe in stiff posing or forcing children to smile for the camera. During these sessions, I focus on the gentle, unscripted moments—a father’s protective embrace, a toddler’s curiosity as they hold their newborn sibling, or a mother’s quiet joy. We spend time in my Byculla studio keeping things calm and natural, so everyone feels comfortable enough to just be themselves while I capture the magic.
Bringing a new baby home changes the dynamic of your entire family, and these early days are some of the most precious you will ever experience. In my studio, I aim to freeze the reality of this transition.
Why focus on the family?
While the spotlight is often on the baby, the relationship between siblings and the way parents hold their children tells a much larger story. These portraits are about legacy. A sibling's first, tentative touch or the relief and happiness on a parent's face are the memories you will look back on twenty years from now.
The process at my Byculla studio
I understand that parents are often exhausted and toddlers can be unpredictable. That is exactly why my studio is set up like a home, not a factory. We take our time. If your toddler needs a break, we take one. If the baby needs a feed, we pause. I provide guidance on color coordination for your outfits before you arrive to ensure the focus remains on your faces and your connection, rather than distracting patterns.
Handling the chaos
It is okay if your toddler doesn't want to sit still. My best work happens when I let the children play and simply follow their lead. We can capture candid interactions, laughter, and even the occasional pout, which often turn out to be the parents' favorite photos. My goal is for you to walk away from the shoot not just with beautiful images, but with a memory of a fun, relaxed hour spent together as a family. Every session is designed to be an authentic reflection of who you are right now.
