About Newborn Sessions: The Sleepy, Curled-Up Days
The first few weeks are a short window where babies are naturally sleepy and curled up. I schedule these sessions when they are usually at their quietest, and my Powai studio is designed to keep them calm with soft lighting, consistent warmth, and very careful handling.
When you bring your newborn to my studio, my main goal is to recreate that womb-like sense of safety. I use specific techniques to help your baby feel secure, such as gentle swaddling with soft knits and placing them in ergonomic props like wicker baskets or tiny beds that support their posture.
Because I focus on 'Wrapped and Tucked' posing for the entry-level sessions, your baby stays cozy and contained, which helps them stay asleep longer so we can get those precious, peaceful shots. If you opt for a full session, we move into more complex poses. Even then, I always have a routine. We take time to soothe, feed, and settle the baby whenever they get fussy.
My studio is located in the heart of Powai, fully stocked with wraps, headbands, bonnets, and outfits, so you do not need to bring anything other than your baby and their essentials. Whether you want a classic, minimal look on earthy tones or something with a bit more color and texture, we will work together to create portraits that feel like a true reflection of your family's new beginning.
