Traditional and Cultural Maternity Shoots
Celebrating your pregnancy through the lens of tradition. I set up classic, culturally inspired frames with authentic props to honor your roots while capturing this special time.
A regal portrait of a mother-to-be in a stunning blue and turquoise silk saree. The traditional jewelry and pose against a carved wooden screen create a timeless and culturally rich image.
A close-up shot focusing on the mother's gentle expression as she cradles her baby bump. The details of the saree, nose ring, and bangles add to the traditional beauty of the portrait.
A full-length portrait incorporating a vintage gramophone. This prop adds a touch of nostalgia and artistry to the traditional saree maternity shoot.
Another pose from this traditional session, with the mom-to-be seated, looking down lovingly at her bump. The composition is classic and full of grace.
This video reel showcases a beautiful maternity session in a traditional green and purple silk saree. It includes both solo portraits and heartwarming moments with her partner.
A collection of moments from a traditional family maternity shoot. The mother is radiant in a golden saree, posing with her daughter and husband in a setting decorated with marigolds.
A beautiful solo portrait from the same traditional session. The golden saree's fabric is tossed for a flowing, dynamic effect against a floral backdrop.
About Traditional & Cultural Maternity Shoots
In these sessions, I focus on creating a grounded, cultural atmosphere rather than a generic studio look. I keep traditional props ready at my Vasai studio, including carved wooden screens, brass lamps, and fresh marigolds. You just need to bring your favorite silk saree and traditional jewelry, and I handle the rest of the setup to ensure the lighting and composition feel timeless.
For many, a maternity photoshoot is a way to celebrate family heritage. My traditional shoots are designed to look like a beautiful, classic portrait rather than just a modern fashion editorial.
Why choose a cultural theme
These sessions are about capturing who you are and where you come from. We incorporate elements like a vintage gramophone, silk textures, and warm, golden lighting to create a feeling of history and grace. It is a popular choice for naming ceremonies or baby showers, and it works wonderfully if you want to involve your family—husband and siblings often join in these frames.
How the session works
- Styling: You bring your own saree and gold jewelry, which makes the photos feel personal and authentic to your style. I provide the backdrop and props.
- The Set: I use my home studio in Vasai West to build these sets. We take our time with poses, ensuring you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the session.
- Lighting: I lean towards classic, soft lighting to highlight your glow without needing too much heavy post-processing.
If you have a specific family heirloom, like a cradle or a traditional piece of decor you want in the frame, feel free to bring it along. My goal is to make these photos feel like they belong in your family album for generations to come.
