Sustainable Residences: Earth, Brick & Nature

My residential work is a dialogue between the building and its natural surroundings. I specialize in creating energy-efficient homes using locally sourced and honest materials like compressed earth blocks (CSEB), rammed earth, and reclaimed brick, inspired by traditional Indian climate-responsive architecture.

Heritage Restoration & Adaptive Reuse

I believe in honoring history by giving old structures a new lease on life. My approach to heritage projects, like the 100-year-old Collector's Bungalow, involves meticulous restoration to preserve original character while adapting the space for contemporary use. This includes working with traditional materials like red oxide and upcycled elements.

Commercial & Institutional Spaces

My design philosophy extends to commercial and institutional projects, where the goal is to create functional, impactful, and brand-aligned spaces. This includes modern retail facades for brands like Nalli, school renovations focused on pedagogy, and office designs that foster collaboration.

Urban & Compact Living

I enjoy the challenge of designing for compact urban plots, creating homes that are both sustainable and suave. Projects like 'Faro' and the 'Vault House' demonstrate how interlocking CSEB, upcycled materials, and smart spatial planning can create beautiful, functional homes even on constrained city sites.

Interior Details & Materiality

The soul of a space is in its details and the honesty of its materials. I focus on creating warm, tactile interiors through elements like custom window seats, oxide finishes, and the thoughtful use of wood and stone. This cluster showcases the craftsmanship that brings my architectural visions to life.

Awards & Recognition

I am humbled that my commitment to sustainable, context-sensitive architecture has been recognized by peers and publications. My projects have been honored with awards and affirming my practice's dedication to design excellence.
