Masterful Tailoring: From Concept to Final Stitch
A look inside the workshop where tradition meets modern precision. From selecting the right fabric to the final hand-finished makkhi stitch, here is how we bring your custom outfit to life.
This video explains my process for creating a completely unique, theme-based kurta for a child's birthday. The customer gave me an astronaut theme, so we worked with a graphic designer, got the design digitally printed on fabric, and then stitched the final kurta.
This video gives you a glimpse into my process. It starts with selecting premium fabrics and moves to my skilled karigars who transform them into exquisite attire. You can see the precise cutting, the high-quality machinery, and the masterful assembly of each piece.
I take customer feedback very seriously. After a comment about seeing loose threads, I have improved my pocket finishing. Now, all pockets have a full cover, so no threads are visible. This Fatemi design saya shows the new, clean pocket finish.
At my store, we take great care in every step. From cutting fabrics with precision to meticulously checking each embroidery detail, our attention to detail ensures every piece meets our high standards of quality.
My dedication to my craft doesn't stop when the lights go out. Here, I am choosing the right embroidery thread colors for a customer's order, even in the dark. I am grateful for cooperative customers who make this detailed work possible.
About Our Craft: From Concept to Creation
It starts with understanding your specific requirement. Whether you want a traditional Fatemi design or a modern, customised Pehran, we walk through the fabric choice and embroidery style together. For online orders, our measurement guides are so precise that we achieve 99% fit accuracy, making the distance between you and a perfect set feel like it does not exist.
Every garment I stitch is built on the foundation of quality. I source premium materials, such as Original Ruby Mill fabrics, known for their high thread count and crisp starch retention. This is where the 'concept' meets 'creation.'
My process involves several critical steps to ensure durability and style:
- Construction: I use blazer-grade fusing on collars and front panels to ensure the structure holds perfectly. This gives your Saya Kurta or Sherwani a sharp, professional look that lasts throughout the day.
- The Makkhi Stitch: This is my signature. These fine hand-finished stitches along the hems are not just for aesthetics, they provide structural integrity that machines cannot replicate.
- Detailing: I listen to feedback. You will notice that my pockets now feature a full cover finish, so no loose threads are visible. It is this attention to the smallest details, from Zardozi embroidery using real gold and silver threads to the hidden finishing work, that makes each piece unique.
Whether you are based in Mumbai or halfway across the world, my goal is to deliver an outfit that feels like it was stitched right in front of you. We can coordinate thread colors to match an outfit, transform old shawls into new kotis, and ensure the final fit respects both traditional guidelines and your personal comfort.
