About Custom Nameplates for Your Little Ones
I use sturdy, laser-cut MDF bases wrapped in soft, premium cotton yarn, so these nameplates are durable enough for a busy kid’s room. Since I handcraft each piece, you can customize everything from the font style and color palette to the specific theme, whether it is a whimsical rainbow, a cute swan, or a cool car to match their personality.
When you order a nameplate, we are not just picking a decor piece; we are crafting a memory. My process begins with understanding the theme of the child’s room. Do they love space? Are they obsessed with unicorns? I work with you to select the colors and shapes that tie the room together.
I build these using a mix of techniques. The base is MDF, which provides the necessary strength to ensure the nameplate lasts for years. I then hand-wrap this in cotton yarn, which creates a soft, textured finish that feels very different from mass-produced plastic options. The macramé elements—like the leaves, clouds, or rainbow arcs—are all knotted by me using 100% natural cotton cord.
