Bolly Tech & Live Mashup Sets
I don't just play tracks; I build worlds. From deep Bollywood roots to hard-hitting techno beats, here is how I mix it up to keep your dancefloor alive.
For all the Bolly and Techno lovers, this is a taste of a banger remix I dropped. This is my signature sound, Pushpa vibes with a hard techno beat. Jhukega nahi saala!
I love creating live mashups that surprise the crowd. Here's a little quiz from a night at Sarjapur Social, blending 'Saree Ke Fall Sa' with 'Afghan Jalebi'. And boom!
This is it, the Bolly Tech mashup. I took two perfect songs and created a fusion I'd been waiting to make. This is the kind of creative energy I bring to my sets.
Merging genres to unite Tech and Indie Pop. Here's a mashup of Afsana Khan's 'Koi Si' and Massano's 'The Feeling', a cross-cultural blend I had a lot of fun creating.
The crowd had no idea what was coming. I love the thrill of dropping a fire cross-culture mashup and seeing the smiles on everyone's faces when they get it.
This mashup came to me in a dream. A 4-channel live mix of Desi Hip Hop, East Coast, and Down South. Jatt Don't Care x Ni**as In Paris x Low.
Guess the second song! I love interacting with the crowd and testing their musical knowledge with my live mixes. Here's me dropping some Udta Punjab vibes.
No matter how many remixes are out there, the feel of the original always hits differently. Here's a moment dedicated to a classic Salman Khan track.
The cover art for my first "Desi Tech" album. This project was all about civilizing wild sounds into time and tune, blending Bollywood nostalgia with modern tech house.
The official artwork for my 'Masakali' remix from the Desi Tech Vol. 2 album. It's all about that Indo Vibe, taking a classic and giving it a fresh electronic twist.
About My Signature Sound: Bolly Tech & Mashups
It is not just about blending beats; it is about reading the room. Whether I am layering Bollywood vocals over a dark techno bassline or dropping a 4-channel live mix, my focus is keeping the energy at a peak. I do not rely on pre-planned playlists. I watch the floor and pivot the set on the fly, ensuring the transitions between genres like Hip Hop and Desi Tech feel seamless.
My signature 'Bolly Tech' style was born from a need to bridge the gap between classic Indian sounds and the electronic club scene. When you hire me, you are not just getting a DJ; you are getting a live performer who brings his own gear, energy, and a catalog of unique mashups that you will not hear in a standard club set.
My Sound Breakdown
- Bolly Tech & Desi Tech: This is the core of my performance. I take high-BPM Bollywood chartbusters and weave them into deep, bass-heavy techno beats. It is for the crowd that wants to groove but needs that heavy, rhythmic drive to keep moving.
- Live Mashups: I specialize in cross-genre experiments. Think of blending a 90s classic with a modern trap beat or stitching together regional hits with international dance tracks. These are not pre-recorded loops; I perform these on the fly, reacting to your guests.
- Crowd Control: Being an MC is half the job. I do not hide behind the console. I am on the mic, hyping up the room, and making sure the transition from warm-up to main event is electric.
Logistics & Requirements
I operate primarily out of Bengaluru but am fully set up to travel to Chennai and Kochi. For a perfect set, I require an industry-standard console and sound reinforcement with decent subwoofers. If your venue has the hardware, I bring the vibe. If you need a specific themed night—be it a Bollywood rager or a deep tech Sunday—let us plan it out so we can make some real noise.
Ashwin Bhatia
I am Ashwin, the anti-hero behind the console. I do not just play tracks; I create a vibe that shifts gears when the crowd needs it most. If you want a predictable set, look elsewhere, but if you are ready for a fusion of raw desi energy and underground tech, let us talk.
