Modern and Jewellery Mehndi Styles
For a chic and contemporary look, I move away from heavy patterns to focus on clean lines and modern aesthetics. Whether it is delicate jewellery-style chains or minimalist mandalas, my designs are meant to be light, stylish, and comfortable.
This collection shows various back-of-hand designs that mimic hand jewellery. From delicate chains connecting the finger and wrist to bracelet-like patterns, these are perfect for a chic, modern look.
The mandala is a classic yet modern choice that focuses on a single, beautiful centerpiece on the palm. This design is perfect for someone who wants an elegant and uncluttered look.
This is a great example of a modern, asymmetrical look. The back of the hand has a simple cuff and finger details, while the palm features a light, floral bail (vine) design.
Minimalist mehndi is perfect for guests, kids, or anyone wanting a subtle touch of henna. This simple booti (small motif) design features a central Ganesh figure surrounded by tiny flowers.
This Arabic-inspired floral vine, or bail, is a popular modern style. It flows diagonally across the hand, creating an elegant and elongated look that is both beautiful and quick to apply.
For a unique back-of-hand design, I combine different elements like geometric patterns, lotus motifs, and jewellery-style chains. This creates a stylish and unconventional look.
About Modern & Jewellery Styles
When I do jewellery-style mehndi, I pay close attention to the natural flow of your hand. I map out where your actual bangles or bracelets would sit and design patterns that mimic them, so your henna does not look cluttered. It is all about creating that adornment effect with fine lines that make your skin look decorated even without extra accessories.
Many clients today want something that fits a cocktail party or a modern wedding event. My approach to modern mehndi is defined by space and precision. Instead of filling every inch of skin, I use negative space to make the patterns pop. This creates a lighter feel that is less time-consuming to apply but looks equally striking in photos.
For the jewellery-inspired pieces, I often incorporate motifs like hanging jhumkas and thin chains that drape across the back of the hand. This style works beautifully with modern silhouettes and western-fusion outfits. If you prefer something even simpler, my minimalist mandalas or spaced-out bootis are excellent choices for festivals or casual family gatherings.
I use a finer nozzle for these designs to achieve the delicate, wire-like look that distinguishes this style from traditional dense patterns. Whether you are in Pitampura or elsewhere in Delhi NCR, I travel to your location to create these looks.
Remember, the secret to a great design is not just the drawing but the care afterwards. I always provide a lemon-sugar sealant spray to ensure the colour comes out rich and deep. If you have a specific pattern or a reference photo, share it with me. I can adapt any idea into a clean, modern design for you.
