Custom Bridal & Wedding Couture by Ashley Rebello
From sketching your dream silhouette to the final fitting, I bring 30 years of Bollywood styling experience to create a wedding look that is entirely yours. Let’s make magic happen for your big day.
A bride should look her absolute best on her wedding day. I was so happy to dress Aksha Pardasany for her reception in this liquid gold Banarasi saree with a zardozi embroidered blouse. She looks simply stunning.
It’s extra special when I get to design for people I’ve known since they were kids. I created these beautiful silver and pink bridal outfits for Aksha and Saher, and I wish them a lifetime of happiness.
The wedding season is my favorite time. This collection, featuring a blush pink lehenga with a rani pink top for her and a biscuit-colored kurta with ivory pants for him, was a complete sell-out. I love designing these looks.
I handle all the outfits for a wedding, from the mendhi and haldi to the sangeet and pheras. For this groom, we created distinct looks for each function, including a salmon pink sherwani and a midnight black sangeet outfit.
This is the first official picture from a wedding I styled in Jodhpur. The groom looks regal in an old rose sherwani with a dull gold zardozi angarkha. It’s a look that is both classic and royal.
A wedding is a whirlwind of beautiful moments. From the mendhi function to the pheras, I was there to style the groom, ensuring every outfit was perfect for each ceremony.
Designing wedding gowns is my first love. From the initial sketch to the final fitting, I pour my heart into it. Here is a look at some of my white wedding gowns, worn by the gorgeous sisters Malaika and Amrita Arora.
The pre-wedding functions are where the fun begins. I was thrilled to be part of Alanna Panday and Ivor's mendhi ceremony, surrounded by so much love, happiness, and of course, beautiful fashion.
About Bridal & Wedding Couture
One thing I tell every bride: do not sacrifice comfort for the sake of a heavy label. We will spend time in our fitting sessions—adjusting hemlines, testing the weight of the zardozi, and ensuring your blouse fits perfectly—so that on your wedding day, you are not adjusting your outfit every five minutes. You should be busy celebrating, darling, not worrying about your dupatta.
My years in Bollywood taught me that a costume is only good if the person wearing it can own the room. For your bridal couture, I apply this same principle. We start with the fabric—be it antique Banarasi brocades, sheer organza, or velvet—and build the silhouette around your movement.
Whether it is a traditional pheras look or a sleek reception gown, we focus on the drape and the 'camera check' so you look perfect from every angle. If you have an heirloom saree from your mother or grandmother, we can even reimagine it into something modern. My process involves at least three dedicated fitting sessions. We do not stop until the outfit moves with you, not against you.
I love a bit of drama, but practical drama. We look at everything from shapewear guidance to ensure smooth lines, to the way your jewelry sits against the neckline. My goal is to make you look like the best version of yourself, not a stranger in a heavy costume. Let’s get creative and make something that lasts.
