I take your favourite memories—from airport reunions to late-night chats—and paint them into a single, cohesive story on canvas. Let’s turn your moments into a keepsake you can hold.

The final reveal of a long-distance relationship moodboard painting. Each panel captures a different part of their story, from airport reunions to late-night video calls.

A look at the process of painting a custom memory collage. It's a gloomy, cozy day, perfect for getting lost in the little details of someone else's love story.

Painting the first panel of a long-distance relationship moodboard. This scene shows the emotional airport reunion, complete with flowers and luggage.

The "11:11" tile on this moodboard represents a shared wish. It's these small, meaningful details that make each collage so personal and special for the couple.

Painting the panel that shows the reality of a long-distance relationship: missing each other while on the phone. It's a bittersweet but important part of the story.

Continuing the work on the long-distance moodboard. This piece includes panels for heart balloons, watching the moon together from different places, and the promise to wait.

I pulled an all-nighter to film this moodboard painting process. It takes a lot of time to get all the details right, but seeing the whole story come together is worth it.

Me at 3 AM, working on a custom moodboard painting. These pieces are a labor of love, filled with so many tiny stories that I get to help bring to life.

That feeling when you see all your memories turned into a piece of art. This is a finished memory collage frame, a perfect example of how I give you that 'gudgudaahat' feeling.

Packing up a finished memory collage frame. I love creating these scrapbook-style pieces that combine painted memories with personal notes and dates.

About Memory Collages: Your Story in Pictures

Each moodboard takes me a few days to layer, not just because of the painting but because I’m carefully synthesizing your reference photos into a single cohesive story. It’s a bit different from a standard portrait—we’re really composing a narrative, so expect a fair amount of back-and-forth on the tiny details, like specific airport signage, that '11:11' wish, or those niche inside jokes you want captured on the canvas.

Think of these memory collages as a scrapbook that you can hang on your wall. Unlike a single photo, a moodboard allows me to combine 6 to 9 different milestones—a first date, a video call screenshot, a travel spot, or a recurring joke—into one A3-sized canvas.

I treat these as narrative pieces. The process starts with you sharing the photos and the 'vibe' of your relationship. I then map out the panels to ensure the color palette flows naturally across the canvas, even if the reference photos have different lighting or settings.

Why these work for long-distance:

Many of the collages I paint are for long-distance couples. There is something really grounding about having a painted reminder of those fleeting, digital-only moments—like a grainy screenshot of a late-night call or a depiction of a 'see you soon' at the arrival gate. It makes the distance feel a little less 'far' when you have a piece of that story sitting in your room.

Practical details:

  • Size: Typically A3 canvas, which is substantial enough to display properly but fits well in most bedrooms or living spaces.
  • Protection: Once finished, every piece is sealed with a professional-grade varnish. This keeps the colors vivid and protects the acrylic paint from dust and moisture.
  • Customisation: You aren't just limited to painting. If you have a specific date, a short quote, or a meaningful line of text you want included in one of the panels, I integrate those using hand-lettering to match the aesthetic of the painting.
