Art for Wellness & Healing Sessions
I don't believe art is about making something perfect. I believe in messy, raw expression that helps you breathe a little easier. These sessions are about letting go, not making masterpieces.
This video montage captures the essence of our art therapy session, from me introducing the activity to participants freely painting on t-shirts. The focus is on the process of letting go and translating feelings into color and form.
This collage shows participants deeply engaged in the t-shirt painting process during a healing retreat. You can see different approaches, from using handprints to intricate brushwork, each telling a unique, personal story.
Here I am distributing blank white t-shirts to participants at the start of our art therapy session. This moment symbolizes a fresh canvas, an opportunity for everyone to begin their journey of creative self-expression.
A collage showing me guiding the group through a meditation and visualization exercise before we begin painting. This initial step is crucial for helping participants connect with their emotions in a calm and centered way.
Participants are seated on the floor, beginning to apply paint to their t-shirts after a guided meditation. The setup is communal and grounded, encouraging a sense of shared experience and mutual support.
About Art for Wellness & Healing
Each session follows a simple flow: we begin by grounding ourselves with a guided visualization, then move to canvas or fabric. My role isn't to critique your brushwork but to hold the space so you can safely express whatever you’re carrying—stress, joy, or simply a need to disconnect. You don't need any prior painting experience; you just need to be willing to show up.
More Than Just Painting
When we label something 'Art Therapy,' people often freeze up, worrying about whether they can draw or paint. My approach is the opposite. Whether it is a corporate group looking for stress release, or a private healing retreat, the goal is always the same: to turn off the critical voice in your head.
The Process
We usually start with a few minutes of conscious breathing or a guided meditation. This helps us stop thinking about emails, deadlines, or daily anxieties and arrive in the present moment. Once we are settled, we start working with colors. I provide the materials—t-shirts, canvases, paints—and the structure, but you decide where the stroke goes. Some people press hard and smear colors; others prefer soft, flowing lines. Every piece created in these sessions becomes a visual diary of that hour.
Where We Can Connect
I travel across India to host these sessions, whether it is for a team-bonding event in a corporate office, a wedding celebration, or a small group retreat in nature. I bring everything—the setup, the paints, the protective gear—so you don't have to worry about the logistics. My responsibility is to manage the environment and ensure it feels safe, while yours is simply to engage with the process. If you are looking for a way to help your team recharge or want a meaningful addition to your next event, these sessions offer a rare chance to slow down and reconnect.
The Artist
I’m a doctor who traded the stethoscope for a paintbrush because I saw how healing creativity could be. I don't teach you to be an artist; I create a space where you can be exactly who you are, without judgment. Let’s make something real together.
