About Classic Black & White Sketches
When I come to your event, I bring professional charcoal sticks and bold black markers to sketch live. I use 200 GSM cartridge paper, and every drawing is handed over in a clear plastic sleeve so it does not smudge. I only need a 4x4 ft space and two chairs to set up, and I can sketch about 10 to 12 guests per hour, making this a great option if you have a larger crowd and want to keep things moving.
There is a reason the classic black and white style remains a favorite for weddings and corporate events across Delhi. It is sharp, fast, and captures the essence of the person without the distraction of color. Whether you are hosting a birthday party where the kids want a funny sketch, or a formal office mixer, these portraits serve as a perfect, personalized party favor.
My Process
I do not work from photos. I sit right there in the middle of the crowd. This adds an element of performance to your event. Guests get to watch the lines take shape, often joking and laughing as I exaggerate features. It turns the act of getting a portrait into an interactive moment.
Practical Details
- Capacity: I am built for volume. In a 3-hour slot, I can usually cover 30 to 35 guests. If your event is larger, we can discuss booking multiple slots or adding a second artist.
- Logistics: All I need from your side is a well-lit area. Good light helps me see the details and work faster.
- Customization: While the style is classic, I can add a small tagline like a name or a date (e.g., 'Rahul's Birthday') on the sheet so your guests have a memory of the specific day.
Whether it is for the little ones (baccha ho ya buddha, I sketch for everyone) or a corporate branding event, I bring my easel and tools, you provide the space, and we keep the energy high.
