Surreal & Conceptual Digital Illustrations
Turning abstract dreams into vivid, high-resolution digital art. Whether you want to blend human forms with nature or visualize a complex concept, I bring your ideas to life on the canvas.
A surrealist digital collage combining multiple female faces with vibrant flowers, a parrot, and butterflies. This style allows me to create unexpected and beautiful compositions that explore the connection between humanity and nature.
This shows how the surreal floral portrait can be framed and displayed as a piece of wall art. I provide high-resolution files perfect for printing.
In this fantasy artwork, I imagined a woman whose being is intertwined with a waterfall and forest. This piece is about becoming one with nature, and I used bright, vivid colors to create a magical atmosphere.
A mockup showing the "waterfall girl" fantasy piece framed. This helps visualize how a custom conceptual artwork could look in your home.
This image shows the step-by-step process of creating the waterfall girl. It starts with a simple line sketch and progresses through different stages of coloring and detailing to the final, vibrant illustration.
A black and white portrait where I blended a woman's form with delicate cherry blossoms growing along her neck. This is a more subtle take on my surrealist work, focusing on a quiet, graceful connection to nature.
This is an older surrealist drawing of mine, showing a woman with a crown of branches and a small bird. Even before I knew about the surrealism art movement, I was drawn to creating these kinds of imaginative, dreamlike portraits.
A colored version of my tribute to nurses and healthcare workers. This piece combines the clinical reality of a nurse's uniform with the life and hope represented by the flowers, creating a symbolic and surreal portrait.
My original black and white digital painting dedicated to all nurses. I wanted to create a powerful image that honors their compassion and strength, using flowers to symbolize life and healing in a challenging environment.
The final version of a highly conceptual piece that took almost 45 hours. It depicts a raw, powerful emotion, with one side of the face rendered in hyper-realistic detail and the other dissolving into a blur of color and feeling.
About Surreal & Conceptual Illustrations
When we start a surreal piece, it is not just about a final file, it is a conversation. Because these works often blend abstract concepts with human forms, I usually start with a rough digital sketch to get the composition right before we dive into the 60 plus hours of detailed rendering. You get to see the idea take shape, and we iterate on the concept until it feels like the dream you imagined.
My approach to surreal and conceptual digital illustrations is deeply rooted in the unconscious and the unexpected. I do not rely on AI or quick fixes. Every piece is hand-painted using my Wacom tablet and Photoshop, layering textures, light, and symbols to create a scene that feels both alien and familiar.
How We Create Your Vision
- Concept Phase: We begin by discussing the narrative you want to convey. Whether it is a portrait intertwined with flora or a mythological figure set in a dreamscape, I need to understand the emotion behind the request.
- Sketching & Iteration: I provide a draft sketch to ensure the layout matches your vision. This is where we adjust the mood and the elements.
- Painting & Rendering: This is the labor-intensive phase. I spend over 60 hours building depth, color grading, and adding the intricate details—like the texture of bark, water, or fabric—that give the image its surreal quality.
Deliverables
Because these pieces are designed for impact, I deliver high-resolution files (TIFF, PNG, or JPEG) at 300 DPI. They are optimized for large-scale printing, so they are perfect for canvas prints or high-quality posters. Since the process is complex and non-linear, the turnaround time is usually 14 to 21 days. If you want to see how your piece evolves, I am happy to share a time-lapse of the process as it happens.
