I hand-paint custom digital portraits with extreme attention to skin texture, lighting, and fine detail. Each piece takes 30 to 100 hours of focused work to bring your character or idea to life.

The final portrait of Neytiri from Avatar. I used Photoshop and my Wacom tablet to paint every detail, from the bioluminescent spots on her skin to the feathers in her hair, over a period of about 40 hours.

A close-up of Neytiri's face. This view highlights the detailed work on her expressive yellow eyes and the subtle, striped texture of her skin, which were crucial for achieving a realistic look.

Here is a closer look at the side of Neytiri's face, showing the detail in her ear, the gauge earring, and the texture of the colorful feathers. Each element was painted individually to contribute to the overall realism.

This detail shot focuses on the textures of the necklace and clothing. I enjoyed creating the look of the woven fibers and smooth beads, contrasting with the soft texture of her skin.

This time-lapse video shows my process for painting the Avatar portrait. It starts with the basic shapes and colors and gradually builds up the layers of detail and light that bring the character to life.

My completed digital painting of the Terminator, a character I've always found fascinating. This 45-hour project was a study in contrasting textures: the soft, damaged human skin against the hard, metallic endoskeleton.

A close-up view of the Terminator portrait. You can see the intense detail in both the human eye and the exposed robotic eye, as well as the torn skin and muscle tissue I painted to create a convincing battle-damaged look.

This detail shot shows the glowing red cybernetic eye. I spent a lot of time on the reflections and light sources on the chrome surface to make the metal look as realistic as possible.

Here is the final Terminator artwork presented in a digital sketchbook format, next to the Wacom pen I used to create it. This shows how the digital file can look when prepared for print.

Watch the 45-hour creation of the Terminator portrait condensed into a short time-lapse. This shows my entire digital painting workflow, from the initial sketch to the final hyper-realistic details.

About Hyper-Realistic Character Portraits

Every portrait I create is a 100% manual process using my Wacom tablet and Photoshop. I do not use AI generators, which means you receive a piece with intentional lighting, deliberate brush strokes, and textures that feel real because they are built from the ground up, not just filtered.
