About Traditional & Sculptural Arts
I teach these sessions with a focus on the tactile process. Whether you are using a fine brush for traditional Warli patterns or shaping raw clay for a sculpture, the goal is to get your hands messy and master the technique, not just chase a perfect result.
When we dive into Warli art, we focus on the rhythm of those geometric shapes. It is about understanding how simple stick figures tell complex stories. You will start with a background wash and move to the fine detailing that gives this tribal art its character.
For our sculptural sessions, we work with clay to build form and volume from scratch. It is a slow, meditative process. You learn to balance the weight, add texture, and eventually see a piece of art take shape under your fingers.
We follow a structured, step-by-step format in these workshops. This is designed for absolute beginners. You do not need any prior skills to join. I move around the room to give individual feedback on your strokes or your hand-building technique.
These classes are held at our Andheri West studio. We provide all the clay, paints, and tools you need, so you can simply walk in and start creating. Whether you want to master folk traditions or try your hand at sculpting, these sessions offer a hands-on escape from the daily grind.
