About Future Stars: Youth Selection Trials
These trials are designed to identify students who are ready for the intensity of competitive archery. We do not just look at scores. We watch how an archer handles the pressure of a mock match, their patience when the wind picks up, and their discipline in resetting after a bad shot. If your child is serious about competing, this is where we begin assessing their readiness for higher-level training.
Beyond the Basics
Moving from our recreational beginner batches to our competitive program is a significant step. We organize these trials to ensure students have the mental and physical stamina required for regular tournament participation. Archery is as much about focus as it is about strength.
What We Evaluate
- Form Consistency: We look for steady, repeatable technique with the Indian Round Bow.
- Mental Toughness: Can the student ignore a poor shot and focus on the next arrow? This is non-negotiable.
- Safety Discipline: We observe how the child interacts with the range equipment and follows safety protocols under the pressure of a timed, competitive environment.
Age Categories and Pathways
We hold trials specifically for the Under-10 and Under-13 age groups. The goal is to build a strong foundation early. Once selected, these archers are fast-tracked into our advanced training schedule, which includes match simulations, physical conditioning, and performance tracking.
The Reality of Competition
As I often tell parents, Time lagega. Success in archery does not happen overnight. Even at the selection stage, we emphasize that showing up and putting in the work is more important than hitting the bullseye every single time. We have seen many students start with raw enthusiasm and turn into disciplined competitors after months of consistent practice across our Bandra, Vile Parle, and Dadar ranges. If your child is ready to commit to that journey, we invite you to join our next trial session.
Arjuna Sports
I am Swapnil Parab, and I believe archery is where hard work meets sharp focus. My academy is a family where we turn kids into champions, one arrow at a time. I don't look for instant results; I look for students who are ready to put in the time and join our competitive journey.
