About Intricate & Embellished Braids
My intricate braid styles are built to last through long wedding ceremonies. I use specific structural techniques like crimping and texturizing to create the grip needed for heavy ornaments like Matha Pattis or traditional parandis, ensuring they stay secure without weighing your hair down.
Braids are more than just a hairstyle. They are a statement piece that pulls your entire bridal look together. When I design a braid, I focus on the balance between aesthetics and functionality. For traditional looks, like a classic South Indian bridal braid, I incorporate heavy temple jewelry, fresh roses, and gold parandis. I spend time pinning these pieces using thread and invisible clips so the weight is distributed evenly across your scalp, preventing that uncomfortable pulling feeling.
If your vibe is more modern, I love creating textured pull-through braids or bubble plaits for Mehandi or Sangeet functions. I treat these as a canvas for creativity, weaving in pearls, butterfly clips, or even dried baby's breath.
