Elaborate Bridal Braids
I design intricate, secure braids that look stunning from every angle. Whether you want a traditional look overflowing with fresh mogra or a modern messy braid with ghungroos, I craft styles that are as comfortable as they are beautiful.
This hairstyle is a modern twist on a traditional braid. I created a voluminous messy fishtail braid and added small ghungroo bells and golden accessories for a unique and festive touch, perfect for a sangeet or mehendi.
A classic bridal braid gets an upgrade. This thick, textured braid is adorned with traditional golden billai ornaments and crowned with fresh white flowers, creating a stunning look for a wedding ceremony.
The timeless beauty of a mogra braid. I wrapped this bride's long, traditional braid with fragrant jasmine garlands, a classic choice that is always elegant and perfect for any wedding event.
A traditional South Indian bridal braid, perfect for a Kanjeevaram saree. The long, neat plait is adorned with fresh jasmine flowers and a traditional hair ornament at the end, capturing a look of classic elegance.
About Elaborate Bridal Braids
When we decide on a braid, the most important thing is that it survives the entire ceremony, especially if you are planning on a lot of movement. I use a specific technique of layering and locking the braid structure with secure, hidden pinning. This ensures your hair stays firm and the flowers or accessories do not slide out, so you can participate in all the rituals or dance during your sangeet without worrying about your hair falling apart.
Your Style, Your Way
Every bride has a different vision for her hair. I approach braids as a mix of technique and creativity. If you love the traditional South Indian aesthetic for a Kanjeevaram, I focus on sharp, clean sections and precise floral placement to highlight the length and shine of your hair. For sangeet or mehendi events, we can go for a messy, textured braid—often styled with ghungroo bells or golden accessories—which feels relaxed yet festive.
Why My Braids Stay Put
Many of my brides worry about the weight of real flowers or heavy hair ornaments pulling at their scalp. My process starts with a solid foundation. I ensure the tension is distributed evenly throughout the braid, so you don't feel that uncomfortable 'pulling' sensation after an hour. Whether we are using fresh mogra, jasmine, or synthetic embellishments, I secure them individually to make sure the style remains as fresh at the end of the ceremony as it was when I first styled you.
Travel and Logistics
I am based in Mumbai, but I travel frequently for destination weddings and events in Pune and across India. If you have a group of bridesmaids or family members who also need hairstyling, let me know in advance so we can plan the timeline accordingly. I usually recommend a quick discussion on your outfit and venue before the day, as that helps me choose the right pins, hair padding, and flower types to suit your specific look.
