About Grand Events & Weddings
Shooting fireworks and night events requires specific camera calibration to avoid blown-out highlights or grainy footage. I use the DJI Mavic 3 for these situations because its larger sensor manages the extreme contrast between a dark night sky and illuminated venue lights, ensuring the footage looks sharp and cinematic rather than washed out.
Capturing a grand wedding from above is about more than just height. It is about framing the architecture against the fireworks and the energy of the crowd. When I film a wedding, I look for those moments—the ones where the scale of the venue and the festive spirit align perfectly.
For night events, I move beyond standard settings. I focus on frame rates and aperture control that allow the lights to pop without creating digital noise. Whether it is a palace wedding in Rajasthan or a large-scale event in a city hotel, I rely on the DJI Mavic 3 to capture high-resolution HDR stills and 4K footage that highlights the textures of the decor and the brightness of the night sky.
I prefer to fly solo—Aakela hi kafi ho—because it keeps my gear setup light and mobile. This lets me quickly reposition to get that perfect angle of the jai mala or the firework sequence as it happens. If you have a specific vision for your event film, tell me about the venue, and we can plan the flight paths to ensure we capture the most dramatic perspective possible.
