Celebrating New Voices: Writing Graduations and Showcases
The writing journey is solitary, but the finish line should be shared. Our seasonal showcases are where our writers step into the light to share their work with the world.

About Celebrating Our Writers: Graduations & Showcases
Our graduations are not just ceremonies, they are where you get to hear how a simple idea in a notebook transforms into a polished piece of writing. Whether we are streaming live or filling a stage, these events prove that your manuscript has a life beyond your desk and your voice is ready to be heard.
The journey from a blank page to a finished manuscript is a long one, but it does not have to be an endless one. Our graduation events, or Attic Showcases, are the culmination of our 12-week creative writing mentorship program. Whether we are hosting a virtual reading on Facebook Live or filling the Rangoli Metro Art Center in Bangalore, the objective remains the same: giving your voice a platform.
We bridge the gap between creative writing and the publishing industry. These events often feature our Attic Lectures, where past speakers have included journalists like Revati Laul and authors like Manoranjan Byapari, offering writers a chance to engage with the reality of the literary world. It is not just about the certificate, it is about learning how to present your work to editors, agents, and readers.
Being a writer requires exercise. You show up, you work the muscle, and at the end of the season, you stand up to read. We have had themed finales like 'Under the Purple Sky' and 'Hearsay on the Metro', pushing our writers to move beyond their comfort zones. If you have been struggling to finish your book, these events are proof that with the right support, you can get there. Come watch a showcase, and you will see that your story is waiting for a reader.

I started the Attic because I could not ignore the stories bubbling up inside me. My role is to be the nudge you need to turn your messy drafts into finished manuscripts.
