Career Guidance & Mentorship for Law Aspirants
A law degree opens doors, but practical skills define your career. I help law students and first-generation lawyers navigate court procedures, entrance exams, and real-world legal practice.
In this webinar on "Law as a Career Opportunity," I outline the possibilities for a law aspirant. I discuss different paths like self practice, corporate law, and judiciary, and the steps to take after high school, graduation, and a law degree.
Here is another clip from my career guidance webinar, where I share a list of top law colleges in India. I also explain the various entrance tests like CLAT and AILET, and the requirements for postgraduate LLM courses.
Choosing a specialization after law school is a major decision. I created this video to announce a live webinar aimed at helping young lawyers and students clear their doubts about careers in civil, criminal, or corporate law.
I was honored to be invited as a speaker by IPEM Law Academy for a webinar on "Emerging Careers in Law." Sharing my insights with aspiring legal professionals is a part of my commitment to legal education.
Practical training is invaluable. I am proud to share this announcement congratulating law students from the Prestige Institute of Management and Research who were selected for an internship program at my firm.
This is the official recommendation letter from the Department of Law at Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore. They requested internships for their students to gain practical legal experience under my guidance.
About Career Guidance & Mentorship for Law Aspirants
Many law graduates are surprised to find that court practice is vastly different from their textbooks. In my mentorship sessions, we do not just talk about theory; we break down how to actually draft a bail application, navigate police procedures, and conduct yourself in a courtroom. It is about bridging the gap between your LLB degree and the daily reality of legal work.
Beyond the Degree
While a law degree provides the foundation, true legal expertise is built through practice. For students and fresh graduates, the transition from classroom to court is often daunting. My mentorship programs are designed to answer the questions that textbooks leave out, such as how to address a judge, the specific nuances of bail procedures, and how to handle client expectations.
My Approach to Mentorship
My career guidance sessions are structured to address the specific confusion that law students face at different stages of their journey:
- For Entrance Aspirants: Guidance for CLAT, AILET, and DUET, including strategic planning for entrance preparation.
- For Law Students: Advice on choosing between litigation, corporate law, or judiciary paths, and tips for finding meaningful internships.
- For First-Generation Lawyers: Practical training on professional conduct, drafting legal notices, and developing the 'street-smart' skills required to survive in the Delhi High Court and beyond.
Why Practical Skills Matter
Whether you are applying for a master’s degree in the UK or aiming to start your own practice in India, you need a skill set that stands out. We use a 'ready reckoner' style in our courses, providing templates and practical workflows that you can apply immediately in your work. My goal is to ensure you feel prepared for the courtroom from day one, rather than spending years learning by trial and error.
