About The Organic Stain Reveal
To get that perfect dark stain, keep the mehendi on for at least 8 to 10 hours and avoid water for the first day. Because I use 100% homemade organic henna without any harsh chemicals, the color needs this time to fully oxidize and bloom. If you have sensitive skin or just want to avoid the chemicals found in store-bought cones, this is the safest way to get that gorgeous maroon color.
Why Organic Henna Stains Different
I am obsessed with the deep stain that only comes from fresh, homemade henna. When you use chemical-laden cones, you might get a quick dark color, but it often fades unevenly or causes irritation. My organic mix relies on pure henna powder and essential oils, which react naturally with your body heat to create that deep reddish-brown shade.
How to Maximize Your Color
- The Setup: Avoid lotions or oils on your hands before I arrive. Clean, dry skin helps the henna stick and penetrate better.
- The Wait: Keep the paste on for as long as possible. Sleeping with it on is often the best trick.
- The Aftercare: I apply a lemon-sugar sealant once the mehendi dries to keep it in place. After you scrape it off, keep your hands away from water for at least 12 to 24 hours. The color will continue to darken over the next two days.
