About Additional Work & Behind the Scenes

I mix my own mehendi paste from scratch using 100% organic henna and essential oils, which is why it has that distinct, refreshing smell. You will notice the difference in the final color—it starts as a bright orange and develops into a deep, rich maroon over a couple of days, not just a surface stain.

I am Anam, and for me, mehendi is my forever wala pyaar. It is a family thing, actually, so it is just in my blood to create designs that feel personal. When I am not creating art, I am usually in my kitchen mixing fresh batches of my organic paste.

This is the kind of intricate, full-coverage floral design I absolutely love to create. The way the delicate vines and bold flowers flow from the fingers all the way up the arm is perfect for making a statement at any celebration.8

This is the beautiful, rich stain that develops from my 100% organic, chemical-free henna cones. The deep reddish-brown color, seen here against a bride's ornate blue lengha, is the result I always strive for.
I love adding personal touches, like hiding the groom's initials within the bride's mehndi. Here, the letters 'AR' are woven into the detailed design on the palm, a sweet and secret tribute.
