How We Handcraft Your Jewellery
Machines offer precision, but they lack soul. Here is how we combine modern technology with human skill to build pieces that last.
Art isn't about being perfect; it's about being crafted with intention. This video shows the soul of our work. You can see the close-up details of hand-finishing, where our artisans carve, correct, and polish each element. This is not imperfection; it's the personality and human touch that makes a piece truly luxurious.
These are the hands that craft perfection. This image captures a moment of intense focus as an artisan works on a complex setting. Every piece of jewellery, whether a simple ring or an intricate necklace, passes through these skilled hands, ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship.
Here you can see the delicate process of setting small diamonds into a gold piece. This is where trust in craftsmanship is built. Our commitment to superior quality means your custom jewellery is not just beautiful, but also resilient enough for you to wear and enjoy for years to come.
Craftsmanship is also about bringing color to life. In this shot, you can see our artisan carefully setting pink gemstones into a unique, branch-like gold structure. This behind-the-scenes look shows the precision required to handle delicate stones and create a balanced, artistic design.
Many of our artisans have been with us since the beginning. They don't just shape gold; they shape legacy. While machines can assist, it's the human eye and hand that breathe soul into every piece. That's why even our simplest pendant carries generations of craft and care.
We don't believe in rushing or taking shortcuts. We use only natural stones and hand-check every detail of the finish, polish, symmetry, and setting. For us, the trust you place in our work begins with our unwavering commitment to quality.
Our manufacturing process combines the best of both worlds: machine precision for accuracy and hand-finishing for soul. After a piece is crafted, it undergoes a strict quality check under a microscope to ensure perfect finishing and durability. This is a small peek into how we guarantee every piece is a work of art.
About The Art of Craft: Behind the Scenes
You won't find a factory assembly line here. Before any piece leaves my studio, we inspect it under a microscope to check every stone setting and polish. It adds time to our day, but it means you can wear your jewellery daily without worrying if a stone will fall out. We focus on durability because we build these pieces to be worn, not stored in a safe.
My mother, Archana, started Amarkosh with a simple idea in 1991: jewellery should tell a story. Machines have their place in modern manufacturing, but they cannot replace the human eye. We use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for structural precision and accurate dimensions, but the character of an Amarkosh piece comes from the finishing.
The Amarkosh Process
- Design & Planning: We sit down to understand your needs. Whether it is a fresh design or an heirloom conversion, the process starts with a sketch and a conversation.
- Precision Casting: We use modern technology to create the frame. This ensures your piece is symmetrical and structurally sound from day one.
- The Human Touch: This is where we differ. Every piece is hand-filed and polished. Our team spends hours ensuring the gold surface is smooth and that every stone is secure. We don't rush this stage. If it doesn't feel right in our hands, it doesn't go to yours.
- Quality Control: Every finished item undergoes a rigorous check under magnification. We look for scratch-free surfaces, consistent prong thickness, and balanced weight distribution.
Whether you are looking to fix a broken heirloom or create a new custom piece, you get the same level of care. We are located in Girgaon, Mumbai, and all consultations happen by appointment. This ensures we have the time to discuss your vision without the rush.
