About Hardscaping & Custom Features
When we design paths or courtyards, we prioritize drainage and natural material integration so structures do not just sit on the land, but breathe with it. We prefer durable local materials like Sadarahalli stone or handmade bricks because they age gracefully in Bangalore’s climate, unlike synthetic alternatives that crack or fade after a few seasons.
Durable Materials for Bangalore Gardens
We believe a landscape should look better as it ages. That is why we avoid common, high-maintenance materials in favor of options that handle local weather patterns. We primarily work with:
- Handmade Bricks (CSEB): These provide thermal mass and a timeless look for retaining walls, archways, and planter boxes.
- Sadarahalli & Natural Stone: Used for pathways and courtyards, these stones are porous, durable, and offer natural grip, which is essential during our heavy monsoon months.
- Dry Riverbeds: A functional drainage solution that looks natural. We use river stones to create water channels that prevent soil erosion and waterlogging near your home’s foundation.
Design with Purpose
Hardscaping should never feel like a barrier between you and nature. Our approach focuses on blurring the lines between your patio and your garden beds. Whether we are building a small seating nook or a larger courtyard, we calculate the sun path and drainage points to ensure the area remains usable year-round.
If you have a sloping site or an area that stays damp, we do not just pave over it. We use grading and strategic stone placement to direct water flow away from the house, protecting your property while creating a landscape feature that adds aesthetic value.
