About Beyond the Classroom: Clubs & Academics
Getting involved is a staple of our school culture. Each year begins with our activities mela, where students browse everything from debate teams to robotics labs. It is designed so that every student can find a niche, try something new like jazz or pottery, and meet the faculty advisors who guide these programs.
Our educational framework places equal importance on academic rigor and personal growth. We believe that true understanding happens when students apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world challenges. For our high schoolers, this means access to dedicated STEM labs, VEX robotics kits, and Black Box theatre productions.
We host several honor societies that recognize dedication to scholarship, leadership, and service. These include:
- National Honor Society (NHS)
- Tri-M Music Honor Society
- Science National Honor Society
- National Art Honor Society
- Spanish Honor Society
In our elementary school, literacy is fostered through interactive events like guest read-aloud sessions. For older students, participation in MESAC tournaments and service learning projects provides a platform to test skills against peers from other international schools. Our goal is to offer a supportive environment where a student might try a robotics elective, join a jazz club, and lead a community service project, all within the same academic year.
