About Moot Court Judging & Practical Mentorship

Most students approach moot courts like a drama performance, but I treat them as a training ground for the real thing. When you are standing before me, I will not sugarcoat your performance. If your legal reasoning is weak or you are fumbling under pressure, I will tell you right then and there—because that is how you actually learn to survive the courtroom.

There is a massive gap between what you study in textbooks and what actually happens when you walk into a High Court or the Supreme Court. My goal as a mentor is to bridge that gap. When I judge events at universities like MDU Rohtak or MUIT Noida, I am looking for one thing: the ability to think on your feet.

My feedback focuses on three core pillars:

  • Argumentation Logic: Can you simplify complex statutes into a direct argument? Judges do not have time for long, winding speeches.
  • Courtroom Presence: How you hold your ground when a judge interrupts or questions your premise is more important than the case law you have memorized.
  • Practical Strategy: I help juniors and students realize that litigation is about process, patience, and knowing when to push a point and when to concede.

Beyond judging, I offer one-on-one sessions where we review your CV for law firm internships or discuss the realities of choosing between litigation, corporate law, or judiciary exams. If you are serious about a career in law, you need more than just good grades—you need to understand the profession's pulse. Let’s sit down and figure out your path, sans the academic fluff.
