Featured: Fighting for Justice and Animal Rights
I don't just wear the black coat for a profession; it is a mission. Whether I'm defending a community dog's right to their territory or securing landmark judgments in the Supreme Court, my work is about one thing—being a voice for the voiceless.
This is the story of Coco, a street dog who was blinded in an acid attack. I fought his case pro bono for four years, a battle that ended in a landmark judgment where the accused received a one-year jail sentence, proving that our laws can and must protect every life.
A significant victory at the Supreme Court. We successfully secured a stay on a High Court order that would have led to the mass removal of stray animals in Rajasthan, reinforcing animal birth control (ABC) rules across India.
Speaking to the press outside the Supreme Court after a major win for community dogs. This PAN-INDIA order ensures that sterilized and vaccinated dogs must be released back into their localities, protecting them from being permanently held in shelters.
In this video, I break down the legal and ethical flaws in court orders that call for the mass relocation of stray dogs. I argue that such actions are not only inhumane but also contradict established laws like the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and previous Supreme Court judgments.
Taking proactive steps is key. Here is a legal notice I served to a resident of a housing society for threatening and planning to harm community dogs, citing specific sections of the law to prevent cruelty before it happens.
I am a lawyer in the courtroom and a rider in the Himalayas. My life is a balance between fighting for justice in my black robes and finding freedom on the open road, with both paths fueled by the same passion and determination.
I am deeply honored to be recognized for my work and featured in the Advocate's Journal. This acknowledgment as one of the top young influential women in law strengthens my commitment to fighting for justice.
A quiet moment with a friend. This is my world, where the fight for justice in the courtroom is fueled by the simple, unconditional love of the animals I strive to protect.

When it comes to animal cruelty or society disputes, timing is everything. Whether you are dealing with an illegal relocation notice or a specific incident of violence, my approach is to combine statutory law—like the PCA Act and ABC Rules—with direct on-ground action. Do not wait for the situation to escalate; getting legal clarity early on is the best way to secure your case.
Law is not just about standing in a courtroom; it is about changing mindsets and fighting for those who cannot fight back. My practice is built on the belief that animal rights are not suggestions, they are legally protected realities.
How I Fight
When I take up a case, I bring a mix of strategy and passion to the table. Whether it is the four-year battle for Coco that resulted in a landmark jail sentence, or drafting legal notices that stop RWA harassment before it turns into physical harm, the goal is always the same: sone pe suhaaga—getting real justice, not just a verdict.
My Approach
- Legal Clarity: I do not believe in keeping clients in the dark. In our strategy sessions, we review evidence—be it CCTV footage, injury photos, or society bylaws—to assess the viability of your case under the BNS 2023 and PCA Act.
- Direct Action: You are not speaking to a junior associate. You speak directly with me. My services range from drafting watertight legal notices on my Supreme Court letterhead to physical representation at police stations to ensure your FIR is registered.
- Beyond the Courtroom: I believe in fighting old mindsets. Whether you need a stay order against illegal dog relocation or need to navigate the complexities of ABC rules in your housing society, I am here to guide you.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by a situation, know that the law is on your side if you know how to apply it. I work across Delhi NCR and provide consultation pan-India, fighting for every innocent life one case at a time.

People see the black coat and think it's just a job. For me, it's a fight. I’m Rhythm Sheel, and when I'm not arguing cases in the Supreme Court, I’m probably on my Himalayan bike or out checking on the strays who need a voice.
