This is the first look into my work and my mission. These selections showcase the impact of dedicated legal action, from landmark court victories to the core belief that drives me to be a voice for the voiceless.
Landmark Victory: Justice for Coco
This was a four-year pro bono battle to secure justice for Coco, a street dog blinded by an acid attack. The case resulted in a historic judgment, with a one-year jail sentence for the accused, setting a new precedent in animal cruelty law beyond the standard Rs. 50 fine.
Defending Street Animals' Right to Home
I actively challenge the illegal relocation of community dogs through Public Interest Litigations (PILs) and court interventions. My work has contributed to winning PAN-INDIA protections, ensuring sterilized and vaccinated dogs have the legal right to remain in their territories.
Proactive Legal Action: Notices & Calls to Action
To prevent harm before it happens, I issue legal notices to individuals and groups threatening community animals. For systemic change, I file Public interest Litigations (PILs) to enforce laws like mandatory stray dog sterilization and humane treatment.
Media Appearances & Public Advocacy
I use media platforms like news channels and podcasts to amplify the voice of the voiceless and educate the public on animal welfare laws. Spreading awareness is a crucial step in building a nationwide movement for animal protection.
Awards & Professional Recognition
I am honored to be recognized for my work in the legal field, including being named among the 'Top 20 Young Female Advocates in India'. These accolades strengthen my resolve to continue fighting for justice.
The Advocate's Life: In & Out of Court
My life as a lawyer is dedicated to the pursuit of justice, from preparing cases in my chamber to arguing them in the highest courts of India. This includes appearances at the Supreme Court, various High Courts, and District Courts across the country.
The Heart of the Fight: My Inspiration
My fight for animal rights is fueled by a deep, personal connection and love for these innocent beings. Every interaction, whether with my own dog or a community animal on the street, reminds me why this work is so important.
