Meet Aditi: Flow Arts & Movement Education
I’m a flow artist and educator based in Bangalore. For me, the hoop is a tool for math, physics, and finding your own rhythm in a supportive, creative space.
Here's a little bit about me. I'm a flow artist and educator who has been hooping since I was six years old. I'm building 'Hoop School' to put a new spin on traditional education, using movement to explore math and physics, especially with neurodiverse students. My mission is to revolutionize learning, one spin at a time.
Community and collaboration are at the heart of what I do. This photo was taken at an incubation conference where I connected with other inspiring educators. I had the privilege of visiting Pikademy, an alternative school in Mumbai, and sharing ideas with its founders, Iqra and Hamza.
I love being part of the larger flow arts community. This graphic is from Hoopinkai's Flow Fest, where I led a workshop on "Flow Sciences and Patterns." Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to share, learn, and co-create with other talented artists and movers.
Participating in festivals and community events is a huge part of my practice. This is another look at the lineup for a flow fest where I taught a session focused on the science and patterns within movement. It's always exciting to connect with the community.
About About Me & Our Community
I do not just teach hoops; I facilitate spaces where movement meets mindfulness. Whether we are hosting a workshop at Bangalore Creative Circus or connecting with fellow educators to reimagine how kids learn geometry, my focus is always on the process over perfection. If a hoop drops, we laugh and keep spinning. This is where we learn resilience and coordination together.
My practice, Spinfinity, is rooted in the belief that movement is a language. I blend flow arts like poi, hula hooping, and dapostar with STEM concepts to make learning visceral. We explore concepts like centrifugal force, radius, and volume not through textbooks, but by feeling the patterns in our own motion.
Collaboration and Growth
I am deeply grateful for the community of flowmies and educators I collaborate with. From organizing flow festivals to visiting alternative schools like Pikademy in Mumbai, these connections keep my practice grounded. I believe teaching is a co-creative act. I do not work alone; I learn from my students just as much as they learn from me.
Inclusive Learning Environments
My classes are designed to be neurodiverse-friendly environments. I know that traditional classrooms do not work for everyone, so I create spaces where kids can fidget, move, and think through their bodies. We keep batch sizes small, usually between 8 and 15 students, to ensure everyone gets the attention they need to find their groove.
Join Us in Bangalore
You will find me conducting sessions at spaces like Bangalore Creative Circus in Yeshwanthpur, where we embrace the open, industrial vibe. If you are curious about how geometry feels when you are spinning, or if you want to understand how movement can turn abstract math into a tangible, beautiful experience, let us connect.
