Learn to Ski and Snowboard in Gulmarg
Ever watched someone glide down a mountain and thought, 'Yaar, I want to try this'? We take you from zero to hero in the snowy wonderland of Gulmarg, teaching you balance, control, and the basics of riding in a fun, pressure-free crew.
In this video, you can see us right in the action of teaching. We focus on getting you comfortable on the snow, with one on one guidance for learning to stand, glide, and use the T-bar lift. It's all about having fun while you learn.
About Beginner-Friendly Training
The biggest hurdle to winter sports isn't the cold, it's the fear of the first fall. We break the learning process into small, manageable steps—from finding your balance on the baby slopes to safely using the drag lifts. You’ll be filming your own sessions with us so we can review the footage together and fix your form, meaning you aren't just guessing while you’re out there on the snow.
Why Gulmarg for Beginners
Gulmarg is famous for its powder, but for a beginner, it is also one of the most accessible places to learn because of the dedicated baby slopes and drag lifts. We keep our groups small (1:6 instructor ratio) to ensure you aren't just another face in the crowd. Whether you choose skis or a snowboard, our curriculum covers the fundamentals: stance, balance, snowplough stopping, and basic turns.
Our Training Approach
We don't believe in rigid, classroom-style teaching. Our camps are about 'learning by doing.' We focus on:
- Gear Familiarity: Getting comfortable with your boots, bindings, and board or skis.
- Slope Safety: Learning how to fall safely (it happens to everyone) and how to stand back up without burning all your energy.
- Video Analysis: We record our training sessions so you can actually see what you are doing right and where you need to adjust your weight.
Flexibility for Your Schedule
We run two ways to join us:
- The Full Residential Camp: A 6-day immersive experience for those who want the full 'tribe' vibe. This includes your stay, half-board meals, gear, and daily coaching. It’s perfect if you want to focus entirely on the sport without worrying about logistics.
- Daily Training: If you have your own accommodation and just need a mentor and gear for the day, you can join our daily group sessions. We’ll get you set up with equipment and guide you through the slopes between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
What to Expect
Expect to be tired, expect to laugh when you lose your balance, and expect to make friends. We aren't here to coach Olympians; we are here to make sure you get the rush of your first successful run down the hill.
